Job Description Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
Specialty: RRT
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day
Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30)
Experience: Minimum 2 years Critical Care experience
License: RRT SC license must be obtained prior to start
Certifications: NBRC RRT certification, BLS, ACLS required
Must-Have:
- Adult critical care experience
- Certification in Respiratory Care
Description:
Position is for an Adult Respiratory Therapist.
The therapist will work three 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7:30 PM, with holiday coverage required.
Weekend coverage is needed every other weekend.
The therapist may float, if necessary, to areas within the adult population that comply with similar policies and equipment.
Only floating to a main facility may occur.
Previous experience in critical care is required with a minimum of 2 years in the field.
The position does not accept first-time travelers.
Candidates must have all required certifications in hand at the time of submission.
The facility operates as a teaching hospital and serves a variety of patient populations including those in critical and acute care settings.
Candidates should be aware of the potential for assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June through November each year.
All requested time off must be included with the application.
Candidates must be fully compliant with pre-start requirements prior to the proposed start date.
This role prioritizes local candidates, but may also consider travelers based on specific circumstances.
Experience with patient populations including those in vital post-operative conditions, as well as acute exacerbations of chronic conditions, is essential.
Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic work environment with a focus on high-quality patient care.
