Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and enhance digital experiences across Excelsior's website and landing pages. Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design improvements. Apply mobile-first and responsive design principles to all digital assets. Improve site structure and usability to support engagement and conversion. Collaborate with the SEO Manager to optimize design for search performance. Use analytics and heatmaps to inform design decisions and identify friction points. Conduct usability testing, A/B testing, and surveys to guide continuous UX improvement. Analyze research findings and implement data-informed design enhancements. Ensure alignment of UI design with brand identity in partnership with the Creative Director. Work closely with content, design, and digital marketing teams on implementation. Contribute UX input on email templates, ads, and campaign visuals. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor's degree in UX/UI Design, Graphic Design, or a related field At least two years of experience in UI/UX design, usability research, or web design. Proficient in tools such as Adobe XD or Sketch and familiar with analytics platforms including Google Analytics, heatmaps, and A/B testing tools. A strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and user-centered design principles is essential. Comfortable interpreting user data and research insights to inform intuitive, effective design solutions that enhance the digital experience and support marketing goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience in higher education or mission-driven digital environments. •Knowledge of SEO, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and front-end collaboration. •Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript (for design collaboration). •Certifications in UX research or Google UX Design.
The hiring salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $67,000.00. The hiring salary range above represents the University's good faith estimate at the time of posting.
