Unit Information: Maternity Care Center Lewis Gale Medical Center Floor: 2 West Building: Main
Tell us about the unit(s): 8 PP/GYN; 23 wellborn nursery Day Shift – Director; Manager; Couplet nurses; Birth response nurse; L&D nurses; Night Shift – Clinical coordinator or charge nurse; L&D nurses; Patient Ratios – 3 couplets/1 nurse; L&D = 1:1 active labor/Pitocin/epidural Type of equipment – Corometrics 2 years OB experience ~ List typical procedures performed on unit(s): ~Labor & Delivery; post-partum & newborn care ~ midwives
Within the unit – nowhere else in the facility
Weekends and On call: ~4 weekend shifts/4 week schedule: days are Saturday/Sunday; nights are Friday/Saturday ~ No call requirement for travel staff, however, there may be opportunity for extra shifts
