Crouse’s Outpatient Addiction Treatment at Erie Blvd. provides a comprehensive system of assessment and treatment services for individuals with substance use disorders by integrating physical, mental and spiritual healthcare practices for patients and families. The Addiction Treatment team is hiring for a Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Medical Associate.
The TMS Medical Associate works under the direction of a psychiatrist and follows a patient during TMS treatment. The TMS Medical Associate is a compassionate individual who works on a multi-disciplinary team with individuals who have depression.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, with other shifts assigned
Pay Range: $18 to $20 / Hr.
TMS Medical Associate Responsibilities:
Administer TMS treatments according to specific physician protocols. Set up the TMS medical device and monitor all aspects of the treatment sessions for patient comfort and treatment accuracy.
Provide excellent patient care and treat patients with compassion while developing trust and rapport. Provide support, reflective listening, and compassion to patients struggling with depression and/or anxiety.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with patient comfort, coil contact, and TMS system setup throughout treatment.
Administer psychiatric rating scales and conduct patient assessments prior to treatment
Record session notes in EHR, collaborate with physician(s) as required, effectively schedule patient visits, conduct patient consultations, and patient discharge consultations.
Communicate with team of certified TMS psychiatrists and other physicians who oversee patient treatment.
Assist with clerical tasks such as filing and phone calls to patients or insurance companies.
TMS Medical Associate Requirements:
Associates Degree in health/human service field, preferably a Medical Assistant certification.
At least one year working in a medical, or mental health setting.
