About the Role
The Company is seeking a Principal for Investor Relations with a focus on expanding its North American institutional client base. The successful candidate will be responsible for deepening relationships with existing investors and securing commitments from new clients, particularly in the area of customized investment solutions. This role is pivotal in the capital-raising efforts across the global investment platform and requires close collaboration with internal teams and the Global Consultant Relations team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, pragmatic, and metrics-oriented professional with a strong background in institutional sales, preferably within the private markets. They should be adept at client engagement, outreach, and operational and marketing support, with a proven track record in developing and managing client relationships.
Applicants for the Principal, Investor Relations position at the company should possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with 7-10 years' of institutional sales experience in the asset management industry. The role demands a candidate who is collaborative, proactive, and innovative, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Key responsibilities include raising capital from North American institutional investors, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and maintaining accurate CRM records. The candidate should have a deep understanding of the private markets landscape, including private equity, private credit, and real assets/infrastructure, and be able to provide valuable feedback to enhance client strategies. Exceptional written and presentation skills are essential, as is a problem-solving attitude and a willingness to support colleagues and clients.
