CMM Programmer Contract (Carlsbad, Ca)
Pay: $26.00 $31.00/hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Type: Contract (46 months)
Start: ASAP We are seeking an experienced CMM Programmer for a contract role based in Carlsbad, CA. This is a hands-on, technical position responsible for programming, maintaining, and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to support quality inspections and compliance across production. Key Responsibilities:
- Program, debug, and verify CMM programs (VeriSurf preferred)
- Perform in-process and final inspections using CMM and other precision tools
- Conduct AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAIs) and generate supporting documentation
- Work with cross-functional teams to align on inspection procedures and timelines
- Provide accurate inspection quotes and labor estimates
- Maintain detailed inspection records, including FAIRs, PPAPs, RMAs, and non-conformances
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Experience in CMM programming (VeriSurf is a strong plus)
- Strong understanding of GD&T
- Proficiency in using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
- Familiarity with ISO9001 and AS9100D quality standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 4 years of related experience, or a combination of education and hands-on training
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
