MUST BE LOCAL TO THE DALLAS MARKET Our client is a premier luxury residential real estate developer with a growing presence here in the US. They are searching for a VP of Development to join their team ASAP! $180-230k base salary (flexible/based on experience) + bonus Up to 30 days of time off (vacation, sick, personal) Job Summary We are looking for a seasoned leader to spearhead our development initiatives in the DFW market. As VP of Development, you’ll oversee the entire lifecycle of our real estate projects—guiding them from concept to completion—while ensuring they align with the broader strategic goals of the company. Job Responsibilities: Direct and coordinate all phases of property development, including planning, approvals, design, construction, and final delivery. Create and implement development strategies that support long-term business growth. Oversee and analyze project budgets, financial models, and feasibility studies to ensure profitability. Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, consultants, contractors, community stakeholders, and local agencies. Ensure all projects adhere to applicable codes, local regulations, and internal quality standards. Identify new sites, partnerships, and investment opportunities that can drive the company’s expansion. Champion innovative and sustainable practices across the development portfolio. Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and accountability. Report regularly to senior executives, providing insights on project status and strategic direction. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, Construction, or Urban Planning; an advanced degree is a plus. At least 15 years of experience in property development, including 5+ years in a senior executive capacity. Demonstrated success managing complex, large-scale development projects from start to finish. Strong financial skills with deep experience in preparing and overseeing budgets, proforma, and investment analysis. Comprehensive knowledge of zoning, entitlements, and local permitting processes. Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Comfortable with relevant project management and financial analysis software. Seniority level
