Overview FWI is building a team to provide highly skilled information technology engineering subject-matter support services within the IRS Enterprise Operations (EOPS) Network Engineering business unit. As a Cloud Engineer, you will support multi-cloud environment initiatives, managing cloud architecture, implementation, and Infrastructure as Code deployments across public, private, and hybrid cloud platforms.

Position Details
Position is contingent upon contract award
Work Schedule and Location On-Site:
This full-time position requires working Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm at the IRS ECC office in Martinsburg, WV.
Responsibilities
Provide Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for cloud deployments, updates, and maintenance
Support onboarding and migration of projects/applications in cloud environments
Manage IPv6 implementation across multi-cloud deployments
Provide engineering support within IRS's cloud service providers
Implement cloud security measures and ensure federal compliance
Optimize cloud infrastructure using virtualization, automation, and orchestration technologies
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Architect, or VoIP/Wireless certifications
At least five years of experience in cloud architecture, design, and implementation
Proven experience managing cloud-based systems in multi-cloud environments
Strong knowledge of virtualization and container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Ansible
Knowledge of cloud security, cost management, and high availability architectures
