As a QA Analyst based at our BVT Location, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products before they reach our customers. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans and cases that align with business requirements and technical specifications. Your work will directly contribute to identifying defects and areas for improvement, thereby enhancing the overall user experience and product performance. Collaborating closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders, you will help drive continuous improvement in our quality assurance processes. Ultimately, your efforts will ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and usability, supporting the company’s commitment to excellence. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a QA Analyst or similar role in software testing. Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC). Experience with manual testing techniques and defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla. Basic knowledge of SQL and ability to write queries for data validation. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, QTP, or similar frameworks. Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies. Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB Foundation Level). Responsibilities: Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical requirements. Perform manual and automated testing to identify software defects and inconsistencies across various platforms and environments. Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand features and provide timely feedback on quality issues. Track, report, and manage defects using issue tracking tools, ensuring clear communication and follow-up until resolution. Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning to provide quality insights and risk assessments. Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness of quality assurance activities. Assist in the creation and maintenance of automated test suites to support regression and performance testing. Skills: The required skills such as manual testing, defect tracking, and SQL querying are essential for daily validation of software functionality and data integrity. These skills enable the QA Analyst to meticulously identify and document issues, ensuring that defects are communicated clearly to development teams for prompt resolution. Preferred skills like automated testing and scripting enhance efficiency by allowing repetitive tests to be executed quickly and consistently, freeing time for exploratory and complex testing scenarios. Familiarity with Agile methodologies supports effective collaboration within cross-functional teams, ensuring quality is integrated throughout the development process.
