This role is responsible for leading a multi-site high-performing team to support provider lifecycle management.

This role ensures enterprise-wide compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, drives operational excellence, and fosters collaboration between clinical leadership, legal, compliance, and administrative teams. This role is responsible for leading a multi-site high-performing team to support provider lifecycle management.
Job Functions
Strategic Leadership & Oversight
Develop and implement the overall vision, goals, and strategic direction for credentialing, privileging, and medical staff services.
Ensure alignment of credentialing operations with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and compliance across all credentialing and regulatory functions. Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
Serve as the organization's subject matter expert on credentialing standards from accrediting bodies (e.g., The Joint Commission, NCQA, URAC).
Oversee risk mitigation strategies related to provider credentialing, regulatory compliance, privileging, and peer review processes.
Ensure continuous readiness for audits and surveys, and lead responses to findings or corrective actions. Executive Collaboration & Governance
Collaborate with executive leadership, legal, compliance, and clinical departments to support provider performance and patient safety.
Provide guidance and support to the Medical Executive Committee and other governance bodies.
Present reports and recommendations to senior leadership and the board regarding credentialing trends, risks, and performance metrics.
Serve as a liaison between medical staff and hospital administration, facilitating effective communication and collaboration. Operational Excellence & Technology Management
Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of credentialing software and data systems.
Ensure data integrity, security, and interoperability with other enterprise systems (e.g., HR, billing, EHR).
Monitor KPIs and lead continuous improvement initiatives across credentialing and medical staff operations. Team Leadership & Development
Lead and mentor credentialing managers, supervisors, and staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the system medical Staff Services, including staff supervision and budget management.
Develop staffing models, training programs, and succession plans to support department growth and resilience.
Manage departmental budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to medical staff services.
Address and resolve issues related to medical staff performance, behavior, and compliance.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Health Administration field. Required
Master's Degree in Business or Health Administration field. Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
Work Experience
7-9 years. Minimum 7 years experience in the executive or administrative level support. Required
4-6 years. Experience in medical services profession preferred. Required
4-6 years. Prior healthcare industry. Required
1-3 years. Minimum of 3 years in a senior/ leadership role. Required
