Reports To: 2nd Shift Supervisor/Warehouse Manager Status: Regular Full-time Hours: Shift hours may vary depending on the workload. Job Summary: The 2nd Shift Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking products, assembling orders, and preparing goods for shipment. This role ensures shipments are accurate and merchandise is handled properly. The position also involves completing shipping reports and requires knowledge of common concepts and practices within the redistribution field. The employee will follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform their job duties. Job Description and Duties: Responsible for the accuracy and documentation of all outbound shipments. Assembles orders and gets merchandise ready for shipping. Takes care in handling merchandise. Verifies the accuracy of pick quantities. Performs operations and safety checks on all powered industrial trucks, which includes checking the battery, brakes, and lift controls. Recommends equipment needs and repairs. Replenishes warehouse pick locations to capacity. Loads outbound trailers. Complies with all workplace safety procedures and measures, and immediately documents any unsafe acts, conditions, or accidents. Maintains a clean and organized warehouse. Removes and stacks empty skids in a designated area. Returns electric equipment to the charging station at the end of the day to prepare it for overnight charging. Performs other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: Previous warehouse and forklift experience is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills are required. A high degree of attention is needed to prevent injury to oneself or others. Experience with inventory control and SKU management is significant. Must be able to perform light to heavy physical tasks and safely lift 50 lbs. Background with Eclipse Warehouse Management System is a plus. The ability to proficiently operate a variety of powered industrial trucks and complete an in-house forklift and safety program is necessary. The ideal candidate must be dependable, reliable, and mature enough to handle equipment safely and sensibly. Working Environment: The work day is spent in a warehouse environment with a moderate noise level. The employee will be exposed to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, noise, and dust. The specific working environment may change depending on department projects. Physical Demands: This position frequently requires sitting, talking, and/or hearing. It also frequently requires standing and/or walking. The employee must often lift and/or move up to 50 pounds while handling inventory, packages, boxes, pallets, and other warehouse equipment. The job requires vision abilities, which may include close vision, the ability to adjust focus, and manual dexterity for using equipment. Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18.00
