Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer specializing in Microsoft Defender Security solutions. The ideal candidate will manage, monitor, and optimize Microsoft Defender products to ensure robust protection of organizational assets against cybersecurity threats. This role is based in STL MO and will require office attendance. The office is located off of 40 and 94 in Weldon Springs. Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and maintain Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Defender for Identity, and Microsoft Sentinel environments. Perform ongoing security assessments, threat detection, incident analysis, and response using Microsoft Defender security solutions. Develop and implement automated security operations and alerting through integration with Microsoft Sentinel and Power Platform. Conduct proactive threat hunting using Kusto Query Language (KQL) within Microsoft Sentinel and Defender for Endpoint. Collaborate with IT and security teams to develop security strategies and implement comprehensive protection measures. Regularly generate, review, and present Security Posture and Secure Score reports to stakeholders. Stay informed on the latest Microsoft security products, features, and cybersecurity threats to continuously enhance protection capabilities. Create and maintain accurate documentation and best-practice guides related to security tools and procedures. Qualifications: 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, and Microsoft Sentinel. Proven expertise in threat hunting, incident response, and security operations using KQL and Microsoft security technologies. Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for security automation and policy management. Experience with Conditional Access policies, Intune device management, and Azure AD. Experience in on-premises Active Directory management is required. Experience in Email security is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer service skills to effectively engage with technical teams, stakeholders, and customers. Preferred Certifications: SC?200: Security Operations Analyst SC-300: Identity and Access Administrator| Personal Attributes: Highly organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Adaptable and responsive in dynamic security environments. Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
