Job Title: Quality Inspector – Aerospace Manufacturing
Location:

Shifts Available:
1st and 2nd Shift
Compensation:

Job Overview:
An established aerospace and defense manufacturer in the San Diego area is seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector
with experience in precision manufacturing. This position supports production quality control and ensures all products meet industry and customer requirements. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in aerospace inspection, with knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, and GD&T.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections Use standard and advanced precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators) Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications Identify, document, and report non-conformances Maintain inspection documentation in compliance with AS9100 and ISO standards Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to resolve quality issues
Qualifications:
3+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing setting (aerospace or defense preferred) Strong understanding of GD&T and technical drawings Experience with AS9102 first article inspections Familiarity with composite materials or honeycomb structures is a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Knowledge of quality systems, inspection procedures, and documentation standards
Shift Schedule:
1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
