What does a Regional Service Manager do at Rinnai? This position develops and manages Rinnai’s field service network in the assigned region and provides technical support to resolve escalated product issues. It includes product training throughout the region and support for major product installations, ensuring proper sizing and installation.
Territory & Travel
Manage a territory including New Haven, Hartford, Providence, Boston, and surrounding areas.
Must be able to travel up to 75% within the territory.

Responsibilities What you will do:
Establish and manage an authorized service network for in-home/onsite service of Rinnai products.
Negotiate labor rates for service agreements and monitor service quality, developing improvement programs as needed.
Provide technical training to sales reps, customers, installers, and service agents.
Support resolving escalated product issues and assist with major commercial installations.
Support regional managers and technical specialists across North America.
Liaise with engineering for performance or quality issues.
Address code compliance and represent Rinnai in site visits and investigations.
Maintain company tools and ensure compliance with laws and policies.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in electrical, electronics, plumbing, hydronics, or boiler systems; engineering degree preferred.
Plumbing/HVAC/Electrical or Gas License required.
At least 5 years troubleshooting residential and commercial gas water heaters and boiler systems.
Experience in training/teaching.
Territory management experience preferred.
Commercial boiler systems experience a plus.
Skills & Abilities
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Self-starter, capable of working independently and in teams.
Multitasking ability, technical and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web tools.
Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, travel extensively, and operate tools safely.
Professional demeanor, integrity, customer service orientation, and team spirit.
Physical & Environmental Conditions
Ability to work in various physical environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions.
Sedentary to light/medium physical activity, including lifting up to 75 lbs.
