Job Responsibilities: • Work as a member of this team, review pre-change firewall requests ensuring the requested updates adhere to policies and standards. • Perform audits on existing firewall policies post change ensuring what was requested has been staged. • Identify potential risk submitting findings for other Cyber-security groups to track remediation with application owners. • Maximize workflow, accessibility, and document sharing via customized solutions using SharePoint. • Design, create, and maintain flows, actions, and triggers.
Skills and Experience Required:
Required: • 5+ years of proven experience in firewall administration and management, with a strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and standards. • 5+ years of proven in-depth knowledge of firewall technologies (such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.), experience with rule configuration, and audit. • Familiarity with governance frameworks and standards (such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, etc.). • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex network configurations and security requirements. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Education • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred. • Relevant certifications (such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or vendor-specific certifications) are highly desirable.
