The Director of New Technologies will serve as the strategic leader responsible for identifying, evaluating, and integrating new and emerging technologies within the Electrophysiology Division. This role drives innovation through close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to advance clinical adoption and commercial success of novel solutions. The ideal candidate thrives in a matrixed environment and brings a proven track record in program leadership, acquisition integration, and cross-functional execution. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Vision Provide strategic and operational business leadership for the 2D ICE and Cortex programs, plus additional programs as applicable. Own the end-to-end success of assigned programs, from early-stage concept through global market adoption, with full accountability for outcomes Lead the strategic planning and implementation of new technology initiatives, including internal R&D projects and externally acquired technologies. Establish and articulate a clear long-term vision for emerging platforms in alignment with business growth goals. Drive early-stage innovation assessments and feasibility evaluations for novel diagnostics and therapeutic solutions. Cross-functional Program Oversight Provide cross-functional leadership across R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Marketing, Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless integration and launch-readiness of new programs. Oversee and guide program management teams to execute on key deliverables including technology transfers, regulatory pathways, and global commercialization strategies. Serve as executive sponsor for major new technology programs and ensure consistent stakeholder alignment. Collaborate closely with R&D to set vision for long-range product roadmap. Provide input into global and regional integrated business plans supporting commercialization in target markets Acquisition Integration Leadership Partner with Business Development and divisional leadership to evaluate strategic fit and integration implications of potential acquisitions. Lead post-acquisition technology integration plans with a focus on organizational alignment, cultural onboarding, and value realization. Establish governance frameworks for acquired teams to ensure efficient execution and team cohesion. Evidence & Market Adoption Strategy Guide development and execution of clinical evidence generation in close partnership with Marketing, Clinicals and Scientific Affairs. Support global marketing in building adoption pathways, KOL engagement plans, and early market development tactics. Team & Talent Management Directly manage and mentor a team of integration leads, technical program managers, and functional experts. Build a high-performing, mission-driven team culture that fosters agility, innovation, and accountability. Develop talent pipelines and succession plans for key leadership roles within the new technology portfolio. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, Life Sciences or related discipline; advanced degree (MBA, PhD, or equivalent) preferred. 12+ years of progressive experience in the medical device industry, including leadership of cross-functional or new technology teams. Demonstrated success in commercializing new or acquired technologies within regulated markets. Program management experience, with a proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept through commercializationensuring alignment across R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Marketing, and Operations. Proven ability to lead through influence and manage complex stakeholder environments globally. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
