A respected national civil litigation firm is seeking an experienced
Associate Attorney
to join its Workers' Compensation practice group in Boston, Massachusetts. Duties
Conduct file reviews and perform detailed legal analysis of workers’ compensation claims. Perform extensive legal research and draft client correspondence, discovery devices, summations, appeals, and appellate briefs. Represent clients at depositions and hearings before the Massachusetts Workers’ Compensation Board. Manage trial preparation and attend hearings and trials. Retain, collaborate with, and evaluate expert witnesses. Maintain an annual billable requirement of 1,950 hours. Requirements
Minimum of 2 years' experience practicing law, preferably in workers' compensation. Strong ability to manage caseloads independently while meeting deadlines. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment. Responsiveness to emails and phone communications in a professional and timely manner. Strong client interaction skills and professional telephone demeanor. Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Certifications
Admission to practice law in the State of Massachusetts. Admission in Connecticut is a plus but not required. Skills
Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficient research and writing skills. Strong oral advocacy and negotiation abilities. Ability to manage cases proactively and efficiently.
