$110 per hour + Travel, Lodging, and Transportation Reimbursement Position Overview:
Provides comprehensive family medicine services within the scope of training and experience to individuals of all ages and genders. Key Responsibilities: Deliver primary care services including diagnosis, treatment, minor procedures, care coordination, referrals, preventative care, and health maintenance to assigned patients. Participate in shared urgent/emergent care on-call rotation. Maintain accurate documentation of services per SEARHC policy. Ensure a positive patient experience through effective communication and listening skills. Build and maintain long-term patient relationships. Consult with SEARHC physicians and utilize specialist access as needed (e.g., AristaMD, ANMC providers). Provide medical services across SEARHC facilities and other locations as per agreements. Engage in quality improvement initiatives and assurance programs. Participate in provider and clinic meetings, and medical staff functions. Additional Functions: Participate in after-hours emergency call coverage depending on community needs. Qualifications: Alaska Medical License as an NP or PA. Board certification in a specialty. Active, unrestricted DEA registration. Active SEARHC medical staff privileges. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications within 1 year for providers in remote clinics performing after-hours emergency work (e.g., Haines, Hoonah, Gustavus, Angoon, Kake, Klawock). ALSO training preferred for providers in remote clinics with after-hours emergency duties. Experience: Minimum of two years practicing as a provider. Additional clinical experience or training may be considered to meet experience requirements. Knowledge: Primary healthcare principles. Basic emergency care protocols. Common diseases and pharmacology. Standards of care, EMTALA, HIPAA, risk management, ethics, and malpractice principles. Skills: Effective communication with staff and patients. Operation of basic medical equipment. Assessment based on history, exams, labs, imaging, and data. Health promotion and prevention activities. Patient and family education about diagnoses, treatments, risks, and medications. Provision of high-quality outpatient and emergency procedures. Abilities: Promote teamwork and collaboration. Resolve conflicts effectively. Utilize electronic medical records and technology efficiently. Listen carefully to patients and families. Communicate clearly in speech and writing. Analyze complex situations and solve problems. Implement clinical strategies effectively. Work Environment: Full-time, Monday-Friday with after-hours call duties. Certifications:
