Job DescriptionJob Description Position: Construction Litigation Attorney Location: Bloomfield Hills, MI Plunkett Cooney, one of the largest and most accomplished law firms in the Midwest, is seeking a Construction Litigation Attorney to join our Bloomfield Hills, Michigan office. This attorney will assist with matters involving construction law with a focus on the representation for design professionals and contractors. The position will also involve the handling of OHSA matters as well as other general commercial litigation. The candidate will be an experienced and versatile attorney with a client-centric philosophy and a demonstrated ability to compete and prosper in complex environments. To be considered, candidates must have: At least three to- seven years of experience in commercial litigation matters preferably with a focus on construction law Experience in all aspects of litigation including drafting pleadings, taking depositions, preparing discovery, responding to discovery, drafting motions and arguing motions Excellent research, legal brief writing and communication skills The ability to manage and grow client relationships Strong analytical, writing, communication and interpersonal skills A J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school An active status and in the State Bar of Michigan The ability to work on a team and be responsive to other lawyers and clients The ability to learn new computer software systems We are seeking a well-rounded, dynamic, highly motivated lawyer, who has demonstrated an ability to compete and prosper in highly competitive and complex environments and who has had significant client contact.
