POSITION SUMMARY:
Biomedical Microdevices Lab (BML), led byDr. Melikhan Tanyeri at Duquesne University, is seeking a highly motivatedpostdoctoral research associate to contribute to a cutting-edge project focusedon studying intra- and intercellular mechanotransduction. The successfulcandidate will play a crucial role in developing and employing a novelmicrofluidic platform to study the transmission of mechanical signals betweencells, specifically from cell-cell junctions to the nucleus, at the single celllevel. Through this project, we aim to gain a deeper understanding of howmechanical forces influence nuclear organization and gene expression, withpotential applications in various physiological and disease contexts.
The position isgrant funded. Starting salary at $48,000/year with annual renewal basedon project needs.
