Full-Time, Non-Tenure Track Job Summary The Department of Chemistry at Gettysburg College invites applications for a one-year, full-time, Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning August 2025. Successful candidates will be able to teach lecture courses in general chemistry and laboratory courses in biochemistry and general chemistry. The teaching load for these positions will be the equivalent of six courses per year, where the first laboratory in an academic year counts as a full course and succeeding labs count as half a course. Qualifications We seek individuals who have a genuine interest in teaching within the liberal arts. Candidates must have a doctorate in chemistry or a closely allied field; ABDs will be considered if the degree
will be
completed prior to the start date. College-level teaching experience is preferred.
