The Medical University of South Carolina's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is actively recruiting a General Psychiatrist to provide services at MUSC Orangeburg. This role involves outpatient clinic work with some hospital-based coverage, including inpatient and consult services. The outpatient practice is established, with a psychologist and licensed professional counselor, and includes teaching responsibilities in the MUSC Orangeburg Psychiatry Residency Program. Qualifications:
Training from an accredited Psychiatry Program Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry Previous teaching experience preferred but not required Our Opportunity:
Ambulatory clinic near hospital Occasional hospital-based consults during clinic hours Inpatient coverage for vacations and sickness Faculty role in MUSC Orangeburg Psychiatry Residency Program Flexible commute options for providers living outside Orangeburg The selected candidate will be connected to MUSC’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in Charleston, with access to resources and clinical support from the Charleston team.
