️ Cloud Security Engineer – Hybrid (Irvine, CA) | Up to $165k | Must Be Able To Obtain Clearance A pioneering space-tech company is hiring a
Cloud Security Engineer
to secure and scale its AWS infrastructure and containerized environments. This is a high-impact, hands-on role supporting classified and export-controlled work, so
US Citizenship is required . You’ll work closely with a multi-disciplinary engineering team, driving
compliance with NIST SP 800-171 , automating threat detection, and supporting secure software delivery within a DevSecOps environment. In This Role, You’ll: Design and implement secure cloud architectures across AWS and Kubernetes Perform risk and vulnerability assessments, with ownership of remediation Automate monitoring and alerting using AWS-native tools (e.g., CloudTrail, GuardDuty, CloudWatch) Lead on cloud policy, procedures, and architecture reviews Contribute to DevOps sprints, embedding security best practices in release cycles What You’ll Bring: Deep experience in
cloud security engineering , particularly with AWS and Kubernetes Familiarity with
NIST SP 800-171 , CSA STAR, or ISO 27001 frameworks Scripting ability (Python or Bash) Strong understanding of IAM, VPCs, EC2, and AWS security tools Preferred: Security certifications such as
AWS Certified Security ,
CISSP ,
CISM , or
CKS Location:
Hybrid – Irvine, CA (2–3 days onsite) Clearance:
