Mammography Technologist - Conrad Breast Center Reno-NV-89501-United States Position Purpose Under the supervision of the Manager of Reno Breast Center, the incumbent produces diagnostic mammograms, assists the radiologist and referring physicians in mammographic procedures, and ensures patient care while representing the purpose of Renown Health. Nature and Scope The major challenges to this position include understanding and applying the technical skills required to operate mammographic equipment. The incumbent must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, motor/sensory, psychosocial, and safety standards appropriate for adult and geriatric patients, meeting quality standards as measured by the unit/department age-specific competency standards. The incumbent may be asked to perform other job duties related to Reno Breast Center as needed. This position has the authority to make technical decisions that will ensure the best possible mammographic image quality. This position must be proficient in the use of the MAMMOGRAPHY UNIT and will require training and general knowledge to operate the hospital and department computer systems. Experience: None required. License(s): (A.R.R.T.), R.T.(R)(M), State of Nevada Certification. Certification(s): CPR upon hire.
