Night (United States of America) Manages individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care through the nursing process. Provides care, treatment, and services through coordination and completion of assessments, planning, and care delivery in accordance with policies and procedures. Responsibilities include:
Medication Administration : Follow policies for administering, transcribing, recording medications, complete medication reconciliation, and document narcotic procedures accurately. Plan of Care/Documentation : Develop, evaluate, and update individualized care plans; conduct admission assessments within 8 hours; document care following policies; assess patient comfort and communicate daily plans. Safety/Quality : Verify patient identity, adhere to hand hygiene and universal precautions, ensure regulatory compliance, and understand emergency roles. Professional Development : Engage in ongoing education, practice within legal boundaries, respond to feedback, and foster positive relationships. Technology : Use departmental software, email, and understand downtime procedures. Compliance : Work within legal and ethical standards, protect patient privacy, and report issues. Patient & Family-Centered Care : Respect patient and family values, involve them in care planning, and welcome participation. Age & Culture : Demonstrate cultural awareness, tailor care to individual needs, and utilize resources effectively. Minimum education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Preferred experience: Previous acute care RN experience Required licenses/certifications: RN license, BLS, ACLS, and other certifications as applicable Pratt 5 is a 50-bed Cardiac Telemetry and Heart Failure unit.
