Job Summary
Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Lead Specialist (BC/DR Specialist) is responsible for leading the development, testing and implementation of a business continuity plan to ensure resiliency of TRS operations in the event of accidents, disasters, emergencies or threats that disrupt normal System operations.
Essential Functions
- Lead the planning and implementation of the Systems business continuity program to facilitate the Systems response to business interruptions and incident responses.
- Maintain a test schedule to ensure the regular testing of all TRS Business Continuity Plan components.
- Collaborate with all TRS departments to identify key business operations, maintain current Business Impact Analysis (BIA) documents.
- Develop and provide training and presentations on business continuity plan awareness, policies and procedures.
- Plan, prepare and lead tabletop exercises that test the plans and procedures in place for a variety of disaster simulations.
- Assist the Information Technology team with disaster recovery objectives.
- Identify enterprise-wide Business Process Workflows and develop contingency plans.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or Cyber Security.
- 5 years experience in IT Infrastructure or similar role.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in disaster recovery planning and testing.
- 1 year project management experience required; 3 years preferred.
- Experience in use of project management tools.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) certification preferred.
