Captivation is looking for software developers who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country.DescriptionCaptivation Software is looking for a senior level software integration engineer who shall be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a large-scale multi-tenant Kubernetes "on-prem" cluster which serves as the foundation for mission-critical applications across multiple tenants.In this role, the Software Integration Engineer shall collaborate closely with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to implement automation, enforce best practices, and support integration of new services within the Kubernetes cluster ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of the Kubernetes-based infrastructure.RequirementsSecurity Clearance:Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizenMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.The individual shall have five (5) years full time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience.An industry recognized professional certification, as defined in the TT0s, may substitute as one (1) year experience.A Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field may substitute for two (2) years' experience.Required Skills:Experience with Linux CLIExperience writing scripts using Bash/PythonExperience troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Kubernetes workloads, networking, ingress, storage, and performanceExperience with containerization technologies such as DockerDemonstrated experience administrating/monitoring Kubernetes clustersExperience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools such as Helm and AnsibleDemonstrated experience using system monitoring tools such as Prometheus/GrafanaExperience with Git for source code management, branching strategies, and team collaborationDesired Skills:Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)Experience designing, implementing, and managing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelinesCKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator)This position is open for direct hires only.
