Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery APP Clinic + Call Fort Wayne, IN Why This Role

- Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
- Schedule: Mon-Thu onsite 7:00am-4:30pm with call starting at 4:30pm
- Fri onsite 7:00am-5:00pm with call starting at 5:00pm
- Sat-Sun 24-hour call with approximately 4 hours onsite rounding each morning
- EMR: Cerner
- Call Type: In-house
- Call Response Time: 20 minutes
- Call Ratio: 1:3
- Call Back Percentage: 25%
- Patients Seen: 8-10 per day
- Admissions: 3 per shift Clinical Details
- Volume: 8-10 inpatients per shift
- Practice Setting: Inpatient ICU and stepdown
- Rounding: Assigned and unassigned patients

- No supervision or resident teaching responsibilities Requirements
- IN license or IMLC
- NP or PA with board certification
- BLS and ACLS required
- Clean history
- Cardiothoracic experience required
- PAs must have EVH experience (Hemapro 2) with 500 cases over 10 years preferred Skills Needed
- Daily inpatient rounding and discharges
- EVH (endoscopic vein harvesting), some open harvest, first assist in OR
- ER consults, ICU call, and transfer management
- Experience with adult cardiac surgeries (CABG, valves, dissections)
- Thoracic procedures (robotic, VATs, thoracotomies)
- Vascular surgeries (CEA, AAA, revascularizations)
- Ability to manage high-acu
