We are seeking a skilled OB/GYN Physician for a 180-day locum tenens assignment at a Multi-Specialty Clinic in Florida, starting 06/30/2025. This full-time position involves working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM in the clinic, with additional responsibilities including a scheduled half-day of surgery per week and in-house 24-hour Labor and Delivery shifts 1-3 times per month. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with a 60% OB and 40% GYN focus, performing routine OB-GYN procedures such as colposcopies, endometrial biopsies, IUD insertions, and LEEP procedures in the office. This role offers a blend of office-based care with minimal Labor/Delivery coverage.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Provide comprehensive OB-GYN care in an outpatient clinic setting

Perform routine OB-GYN procedures including colposcopies, endometrial biopsies, IUD insertions, and LEEP procedures

Conduct a half-day of scheduled surgeries per week

Cover in-house 24-hour Labor and Delivery shifts 1-3 times per month

Manage both obstetric and gynecological patients with a 60% OB and 40% GYN focus

Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Athenahealth EMR

Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals

Ensure high-quality patient care and safety during all procedures

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members

Adhere to all clinic protocols and safety standards


Additional Information:

Must be licensed to practice medicine in Florida

Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required

Experience in both office-based procedures and surgical settings is essential

Familiarity with Athenahealth EMR is preferred

Ability to work full-time hours and manage on-call responsibilities

The day after in-house call is off for post-call rest
