This facility is a small, 25-bed critical access hospital serving the local community with approximately 120 births per year. The OB/GYN department features a skilled, tight-knit team committed to providing exceptional care. The clinic staffs with OB/GYNs, FM/OBs, and CNMs working collaboratively to serve patient needs.
Opportunity: Board Certified - OB/GYN
This locum tenens position requires a Board Certified OB/GYN physician with strong gynecological skills to provide coverage for specific dates in 2025 and potentially 1-2 weeks per month in 2026.
Job Details:
- Coverage needed for specific dates in September through December 2025
- Position focuses primarily on gynecological care including endometrial ablation, IUD insertion/removal, menopausal management, and urinary incontinence treatment
- Provider will be on 2nd call during most scheduled days
- CNMs take first call; OB/GYN is typically only called for complications
- Daily patient volume averages 8-10 visits, occasionally up to 16 for follow-ups
- Office procedures include colposcopies, certain biopsies, and IUD/Nexplanon insertions/removals
- OR procedures include LEEP and other gynecological surgeries
- Active Maine license or IMLC preferred
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included. Travel accommodations provided including flight, hotel, and rental car.
