Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled

Senior Software Developer -

with expertise in

automation, orchestration, and AIOps

to support a 24/7 technical operations environment. This is a full-time, onsite role located in

Camp Springs, MD , requiring senior-level or SME-level skills in software development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building automation solutions and implementing emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency in mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide senior-level or SME-level support in software development for automation, orchestration, and AIOps initiatives. Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and design software solutions that optimize operational efficiency. Customize software for client-specific use, including database analysis and design. Lead and coordinate with technical teams to support software development lifecycle activities. Collaborate with internal IT teams to support real-time monitoring, incident response, root cause analysis, and large-scale system upgrades/migrations. Assist in implementing emerging technologies, including AI, to drive proactive issue resolution and continuous improvement. May supervise junior developers and serve as a technical advisor on automation solutions. Required Qualifications:

U.S. Citizenship required. Favorably adjudicated background investigation commensurate with the sensitivity level of the role. Minimum of

5+ years of experience

in IT, with a focus on software development and deployment. Proven experience in a

lead

or

Subject Matter Expert (SME)

role. Certification in at least one of the following areas:

Physical and Mental Qualifications:

Maintain focus and awareness throughout scheduled working hours. Perform tasks requiring prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk, utilizing a computer, mouse, and keyboard. Lift and move objects weighing up to 15 pounds as needed. Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language. Demonstrate the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team. Quickly learn and retain routine tasks and processes. Possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, business correspondence proficiency, and self-management capabilities.
