This position involves providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment, specifically within the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Our PACU specializes in higher acuity cases, including Thoracic, Orthopedic, Neurology, Vascular, Urology, and General surgery cases. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver comprehensive care to patients recovering from anesthesia.- Monitor and assess patient vital signs and conditions post-surgery.- Administer medications and interventions as prescribed.- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery. Requirements: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PACU or similar specialty.- Active ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification preferred.- Proficiency in Cerner or similar electronic health record systems. Work Environment: Our unit operates 24/7 and is equipped with call coverage during holidays.
