Job DescriptionPosition Information TxDOT's San Angelo District is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill the critical role of District Design Engineer. This position is responsible for leading the production of roadway construction plans and ensuring their successful delivery in support of our letting schedule. Job duties include oversight of in-house plan production as well as project management of jobs outsourced to private engineering firms for development, and requires coordination with both internal and external partners. This position is supervisory, managing a staff of professional engineers, engineers-in-training, and design technicians. It also supports the planning and programming functions associated with project delivery. (Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent). Related graduate level education may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis. Substitutions for Minimum QualificationsMust have one (1) year supervisory/managerial experience. Project leader or lead worker experience may substitute for supervisory/managerial experience.Licenses and Certifications :Valid driver's license.
