Demonstrates proficiency with the use of ultrasound equipment and associated procedures. This position performs routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the offices of physicians and other health practitioners running efficiently. Performs a range of technical procedures to support physician's diagnosis Appropriately acquire echocardiographic measurements per protocol, create digital preliminary reports and verbally communicate preliminary findings to the interpreting physician Reviews physician order to verify appropriateness for order being performed Retrieve studies from PACS for review Assures accuracy data for clinical reports, demographics and billing information for physician reportsQualificationsEducationHigh school diploma or GED requiredGraduation from a CAAHEP or other accredited diagnostic ultrasound program required or 5 years of diagnostic ultrasound experience requiredExperience1 year of experience in the field preferredLicenses/CertificationBasic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross requiredRegistered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) preferred
