DescriptionAre you ready to make a real difference in patient care?What You Will Do:Administers nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties in accordance with the needs of the age population served, as defined in the department's scope of service.Collects essential data for RN assessment and reports deviations from normal to the RN.Assists in checking patients according to unit standards and/or hospital policy, as patient needs dictate.Completes documentation before shift completion.Administers medications and performs treatments as ordered by the physician.Monitors IVs and blood for proper functioning and reports any side effects to the RN immediately.Performs other duties as assigned.What We're Looking For:Experience Requirements: One year of experience preferred.Educational Requirements: Current Louisiana LPN licensure required.Special Skills, License, and Knowledge Requirements:Knowledge of basic ECG rhythm interpretation.Personal Traits:Strong communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare team.Proactive in identifying patient care needs and solutions.Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.Why You'll Love Working With Us:At Baton Rouge General, our patients aren't the only people we take care of; we take care of our team too.
