Job DescriptionJob DescriptioncFocus Software seeks a Sr. Technical Architect to join our program supporting the United States Coast Guard (USCG). This position is on-site in Washington, DC. This position requires TS/SCI Clearance
Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or a related field.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • 6+ years of experience in supporting cloud technology and management activities for Intelligence Community (IC) and other government agencies.
  • Experience must include supporting IT infrastructure operating in Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) IC cloud environments such as IC GovCloud or Amazon Web Service (AWS) Commercial Cloud Service (C2S).


Duties:

  • Design and implement computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks.
  • Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning.
  • Design network and computer security measures.
  • Research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software.
  • Perform gap analysis, determine business requirements, identify organizational changes, plan roadmaps, and provide execution management to operate and sustain information management systems and technology within a service-oriented architecture (SOA).
  • Facilitate information sharing between CSPs and implementation teams, assist with the development of documentation, such a program management plans, business case analyses and requirements documentation.
  • Support implementation and sustainment efforts, to include serving as a liaison across stakeholder organizations, the program office, and technical implementation teams, and managing projects to assist the organization to transform legacy functionality to capabilities in a modernized cloud environment.
  • Assist with developing migration plans, transition plans, build and release plans, organization change roadmaps, and training plans to ensure staff readiness to support a cloud environment.
  • Evaluate workforce readiness including knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) of current billets to identify future needs to support cloud-based information management systems.
  • Based on this evaluation, identify training plans, including internal and external training needs, to meet new KSA requirements.
  • Determine governance needs and identify a path forward to develop and implement a governance model, policies, and processes for the cloud environment and systems.
  • Develop strategic and tactical roadmaps for the information management program including the Maritime Analytic Support System (MASS).
  • Support preparation and planning for System Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) gateway requirements and reviews including defining and improving processes, as required.
  • Develop communication artifacts including presentations to communicate performance measures and achievements to leadership.
