As the VP of Product Innovation and Design at Stanley 1913, you will lead and oversee product innovation and design across all categories and product types, playing a critical role in shaping the brand's product identity, driving industrial design, color material and finish, as well as leading product innovation. You will be responsible for establishing and evolving the brand's design DNA across all product lines and platforms, ensuring Stanley 1913 maintains its position as a global leader in creativity, innovation, and quality. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure design excellence while proactively growing and configuring the design organization in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving global market.
What You'll Do
- Lead product innovation and design efforts across all product categories and types, ensuring a cohesive and innovative visual identity.
- Establish and evolve Stanley 1913s visual brand DNA across product lines and platforms.
- Drive consumer right product innovation to maintain the brand's global leadership in creativity and invention.
- Accelerate innovation and ensure its translation into the product creation pipeline.
- Develop and implement strategic approaches to product differentiation through design choices, including form, function, materials, color, and finishes.
- Lead and drive design excellence for both hard and soft goods
- Target a range of consumer and market segments by employing innovative design choices.
- Proactively scale and structure the Design team to meet the needs of a growing global brand.
- Collaborate across departments to communicate design direction and brand perspective clearly and effectively.
- Inspire and engage teams with a visionary outlook for the future of Stanley 1913's product and brand
- A transformational leader with a passion for innovation and design excellence.
- Highly creative, with the ability to translate ideas into impactful product designs.
- A strategic thinker with a proven ability to differentiate products through design choices that resonate with diverse consumer markets.
- Obsessed with the consumer and with a deep understanding of human centric design
- A strong communicator who can articulate design concepts and brand perspectives to cross-functional teams.
- A collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Able to inspire and engage teams, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.
- 10+ years of experience in product design, with a proven track record of leading design initiatives in consumer products.
- Extensive experience with product innovation, from concept through execution.
- Strong leadership experience in scaling and managing design teams in a fast-growing environment.
- Expertise in form, function, material, color, and finish differentiation to drive brand strategy.
- Trend forward. Deep understanding of sports, fitness, style, fashion and food/beverage.
- A bachelors degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field is required. A masters degree or MBA is preferred.
Salary Range
$250,000$280,000 USD
