Allina Health Neuroscience, Spine & Pain Institute is a comprehensive Neuroscience Institute seeking a Neurohospitalist for inpatient Neurology coverage at our Mercy Hospital location in Coon Rapids, MN.

Our quaternary hospital Abbott Northwestern Hospital is ranked in the Top 50 hospitals in the United States for Neurology/Neurosurgery by US News and World Report.

Key Position Details:

Schedule: One 7-day week of inpatient coverage every fourth week.

You have the opportunity to pick up additional Neurohospitalist shifts at Abbott Northwestern Hospital and United Hospital, as available and desired.

Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities

  • Works collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being.
  • Practices in a thoughtful manner including consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy, and legal responsibilities.
  • Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management.
  • Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or workflows.
  • May participate in peer review and quality assurance.

Job Requirements

  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.
  • BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required.
  • Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain).
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and NPI.
  • Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable.

Physical Demands

Medium Work: Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently.

Pay Range:

$358,260 to $390,500 per year. The pay reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
