About The Role
The Physician - Family Medicine will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive healthcare services to individuals and families within the community. This position focuses on diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, promoting preventive care, and managing chronic illnesses. The physician will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive holistic and patient-centered care. Additionally, the role involves educating patients about health maintenance and disease prevention strategies. Ultimately, the goal is to enhance the overall health and well-being of the community served by the Fed City Shelter.
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Family Medicine or eligibility for board certification.
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of operation.
- Experience working in a community health setting or with underserved populations.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and another language relevant to the patient population.
- Fellowship training in a subspecialty of Family Medicine.
- Conduct thorough patient examinations and assessments to diagnose medical conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history.
- Provide preventive care services, including vaccinations and health screenings.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and referrals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Effective communication skills are vital for educating patients about their health and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
