Position Overview

The outpatient Family Medicine Physician role at an Allina Health Clinic offers a collaborative team environment focused on delivering excellent patient care. As a Primary Care Family Physician, you will work with various specialties to support your patients' healthcare needs. The culture emphasizes strong collaborative relationships, fostering a supportive environment for primary care physicians.

Key Details

  • 36 patient contact hours per week
  • Minimal phone-only call coverage with RN triage support
  • Outpatient care for all ages, including families
  • Clinic hours: Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm; closed weekends
  • Electronic Health Record: Excellian, a comprehensive system

Coon Rapids, a growing community on the Mississippi River, located 20 minutes north of Minneapolis-St. Paul, offers excellent transportation, shopping, recreational activities, parks, golf courses, indoor arenas, trails, and pools.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with patients to improve health outcomes
  • Practice with cultural sensitivity and legal awareness
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case management
  • Use quality improvement tools to enhance care and workflows
  • Engage in peer review and quality assurance activities

Qualifications

  • MD, DO, or equivalent
  • Board-certified or eligible (ABMS or AOA)
  • Active MN medical license or ability to obtain
  • MN DEA certification and NPI
  • BLS Tier 1 certification within 180 days

Physical Demands

Medium work: lifting up to 32 lbs occasionally, 25 lbs frequently.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $266,500 - $313,500 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
