Regional Anesthesiologist in Washington, DC ($50,000 Signing Bonus)

MedStar Medical Group Anesthesiology (MMGA) is seeking a full-time anesthesiologist with expertise in Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Medicine to be based at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. We have a robust regional anesthesia program, performing over 3,400 blocks annually for burn, cardiac, orthopedic, plastic, and trauma surgery patients. Leadership opportunities are available for experienced anesthesiologists!

Our Acute Pain Service is expanding, focusing on peripheral nerve and neuraxial catheter placement, enhancing patient experience, and reducing opioid use.

Qualifications: Regional anesthesia fellowship or significant experience required.

Common blocks include:

• Upper Extremity: Interscalene, Supraclavicular, Infraclavicular, Axillary, Intercostobrachial
• Lower Extremity: Femoral, Adductor Canal, Sciatic (Subgluteal/Anterior/Popliteal), PENG, iPACK, Fascia Iliaca, Lateral Femoral Cutaneous
• Chest Wall: Parasternal, PECS, Paravertebral, Erector Spinae Plane, Serratus Anterior Plane
• Abdominal: TAP, Rectus Sheath, Quadratus Lumborum, Ilioinguinal/Iliohypogastric
• Miscellaneous: Stellate Ganglion

MedStar Washington Hospital Center is a quaternary care and Level 1 trauma center in downtown Washington, DC. Our anesthesia department provides care across over 40 sites, including 30+ ORs, Endoscopy, EP Lab, and Labor and Delivery. We are a teaching hospital, serving as a clinical site for anesthesia residency, SAA, and SRNA programs.
