Kiski School, a college-preparatoryco-educational boarding schoolin Saltsburg, Pennsylvania, is seeking a skilled and reliableMaintenance Team Member and Lead HVAC Technicianto join our facilities team. This individual will play a vital role in the daily upkeep of the schools campusincluding dormitories, academic buildings, athletic facilities, and groundswhile also serving as thelead for HVAC systems maintenance and repairacross campus.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the schoolslead technician for all HVAC-related systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and coordination of any outside service providers.
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance for HVAC units, thermostats, ventilation systems, and related equipment.
Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs as needed.
Assist with campus event setup and breakdown (furniture moving, equipment transport, etc.).
Support seasonal facilities work, including snow removal and grounds maintenance.
Respond promptly to work orders and emergency repair needs, especially those involving climate control or critical HVAC failures.
Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with relevant codes and school policies.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
3+ years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair; experience leading or coordinating HVAC work .
Certification in HVAC or refrigeration (EPA Section 608 or equivalent) required.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a range of HVAC systems.
Experience in general building maintenance and repair.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work in varying weather conditions.
Strong teamwork, communication skills, and attention to detail.
Valid drivers license required.
Qualifications
Trade certifications in additional areas (plumbing, electrical, etc.) a plus.
Experience working in a school, campus, or residential facility setting.
