Position Summary

Reporting to the VP, HR Operations, the Benefits Specialist supports the delivery and administration of Highstreet's employee benefits programs. This role assists in ensuring that health, welfare, and leave policies are administered accurately and in compliance with applicable laws. The Benefits Specialist serves as a key point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, maintains benefits documentation, and collaborates with vendors and internal teams to support a positive employee experience.

The Benefits Specialist plays an integral role in open enrollment, benefits communication, billing reconciliation, and data reporting. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide responsive and clear guidance to employees regarding benefit plans.

Key Areas of Responsibility Support the administration of medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and wellness programs. Assist with monthly benefits billing and reconciliation processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments. Participate in annual open enrollment activities, including communication development, system setup, and employee support. Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefit eligibility, plan options, and claims resolution. Maintain accurate and up-to-date benefits records and documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable laws (e.g., ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA). Coordinate with vendors and brokers to support plan administration and employee communications. Partner with Payroll and HRIS to ensure accurate benefits data and deductions. Support leave of absence administration and demonstrate familiarity with FMLA and related leave laws Support benefits integration activities for newly acquired entities as needed. Desired Competencies

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in benefits administration or a related benefits function. Familiarity with benefit plans, processes, and regulatory requirements. Experience supporting benefits in a multi-state environment is a plus. Strong communication and organizational skills. Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Proficient in Microsoft Excel Key Personal Attributes
