is actively hiring a
Semiconductor Equipment Support Technician
to join a cutting-edge research and development fabrication facility. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing a variety of semiconductor equipment in both R&D and low-volume production environments. If you have a strong mechanical aptitude, a passion for high-tech tools, and thrive in a cleanroom setting, we want to hear from you. This is an initial 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity, and I will respond immediately to all qualified candidates.
Job Description: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on semiconductor tools (steppers, coaters, etchers, evaporators, sputters, implanters, dicing saws, etc.) Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, vacuum, gas delivery, and pneumatic systems Collaborate with process engineers and researchers to maintain uptime and optimize tool performance Support tool installations, upgrades, and decommissioning activities Maintain accurate maintenance logs and track part usage in system databases Coordinate with vendors and facilities teams for tool servicing and upgrades Ensure equipment adheres to safety and cleanroom standards Proactively contribute to uptime improvement initiatives and continuous improvement efforts Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED 2+ years of experience in equipment maintenance or relevant technical trade Strong hands-on mechanical and diagnostic skills Familiarity with vacuum systems, gas lines, and cleanroom procedures Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic R&D environment Must be a U.S. Citizen (required for access to sensitive programs) Desired:
Associate degree or vocational training in Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related field Experience with legacy and/or custom semiconductor equipment Knowledge of both front-end and back-end semiconductor fabrication workflows Familiarity with chemical safety, high-voltage systems, and cleanroom best practices Experience supporting high-mix, low-volume toolsets in a prototyping or lab environment
