AWS/CES is looking for a
Maintenance Technician for our automotive manufacturing client in Cullman, AL Travel: Required to travel to Winchester, TN 1x a week or as needed Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire Pay: up to $32 per hour DOE Shift: start time 6:30am Position Summary As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of production equipment and CNC machinery. You will play a key role in ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards, while minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Minimize downtime by troubleshooting and repairing machines and equipment Keep work areas clean and follow all safety protocols Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment components Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machines like CNC/EDM, Makino, DMG, OKK, Kuraki, and ONA Maintain parts inventory, manuals, and tools Operate machine tools (mills, lathes, grinders) to fabricate or repair parts Install major components like motors and hydraulic systems Attend training to stay up to date on equipment and repair technologies Inspect parts and assemblies to ensure quality standards are met Qualifications
Millwright or Electrical license, high school diploma (or equivalent) required Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance, including CNC troubleshooting Familiar with CNC controls: Fanuc, Heidenhain, Allen Bradley, Siemens Understanding of G-code programming Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and under pressure Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills Must be available for overtime, on-call work, and off-shifts as needed
