JOB PURPOSE

The

Restaurant Expeditor

(Expo)

plays a key role in ensuring a seamless flow between the kitchen and dining room. This role is responsible for managing food orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery, and maintaining quality standards before food reaches the guest. As the communication bridge between culinary and service teams, the expeditor ensures all elements of the dining experience come together smoothly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Order Management Prioritize and organize incoming kitchen tickets Ensure accuracy of each dish and coordinate timely preparation Monitor pacing to ensure efficient service during peak periods Communication

Act as the liaison between kitchen staff and front-of-house team Relay special requests, allergies, and dietary notes accurately Notify servers of order status, delays, or modifications Quality Control

Inspect dishes before they leave the kitchen for correct presentation, temperature, and garnishing Ensure consistency and adherence to Blue Harbor Resort's quality standards Coordination

Verify that all items for a table are ready and go out together Help orchestrate smooth and timely delivery to guests Assistance

Assist with plating or food prep as needed during busy service periods Occasionally support servers with running food to tables Maintaining Cleanliness

Keep the expediting window and surrounding area clean, organized, and clear of clutter Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines Problem-Solving

Proactively identify and resolve issues or delays in order flow Communicate calmly and effectively during high-pressure situations ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
