Description: 1.0 FTE MEDIA SPECIALIST
Job Summary:
Lead and collaborate with administration and teachers to develop media center collection and resources, Lead and collaborate with teachers in support of student literacy. Facilitate teacher and student use of the media center. Support individual learner goals that reflect the District's mission and values. Work collaboratively with teacher leaders and grade level teams Participate in regular PLC meetings as an active and engaged professional. Communicate frequently with parents, colleagues, students, and administrators through all available means. Establish and maintain high standards for character growth.
Qualifications:
Current Library Media Specialist License required. High level of content expertise required, particularly in English Language Arts. Demonstrated ability to support content area resource procurement. Effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated experience in collaboration and problem-solving. Understanding of the role of parent involvement and the ability to collaborate with parents. Ability to use technology to support job functions.
Bargaining Group and Level:
Orono Education Association/Teachers
COMPENSATION: Full year, Full Time BA Step 1 ($49,266) to EdS Step 20 ($105,958)
INSURANCE: .75 - 1.0 FTE Single Health: 100% Covered by District Employee + 1 Health: 75% Covered by District Family Health: 65% Covered by District Dental: 100% Coverage by District Life Insurance: $50,000 Covered by District LTD insurance: 100% Covered by District Employee Assistance Plan (EAP)
OTHER BENEFITS: TSA match after meeting conditions.
