Project Accounting Analyst - Temp (6+ Months)

Onsite, San Gabriel Valley Pay:
Up to $35/hour We're hiring a
Project Accounting Analyst
for a long-term temporary role (6+ months) with our client in the San Gabriel Valley. This role will be onsite and supports capital project budgeting, reporting, and project tracking.
Ideal position for someone with a strong financial analysis/project analysis background ideally working within the construction industry. Key Responsibilities: Track project status, budgets, and schedules across multiple departments
Perform cost analysis and prepare variance reports
Assist with capital and expense budgeting processes
Prepare project reports and ensure job closing packages are accurate
Work with operations and engineering teams on project status and facility updates
Create and maintain queries using Excel, SQL, and MS Access
Analyze and explain financial data, identifying potential issues and solutions
Support invoice prep and documentation for claims and reimbursements
Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal procedures
Help with rate case data, financial reports, and special projects
Requirements: Bachelor's in Accounting or Business preferred
3+ years in accounting or project coordination
Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, queries)
Experience with SQL, Access, or other data tools
Background in project accounting (AP/AR, budgeting, cost tracking)
