POSITION SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to resolve credit balances and account problems by communicating with clients, vendors and other parties. This individual reports to the Accounts Receivable Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety
Follows plant safety procedures and guidelines
Informs supervisor of safety issues; reports any workplace injury or incident immediately
Task
Records notes in Fourth Shift for all account transactions
Ensures strict confidentiality of financial records
Coordinates and performs client collection activities, including:Approving and monitoring new clientsApproving and monitoring slow paying clients daily; and Making collection calls on open invoices on a daily basis
Assists in the preparation of standard daily, monthly, or annual reports, and other analysis, that support Company management needs
Assists accounting department in answering telephones and providing support to clients, vendors and other employees for information
Ensures timely and accurate payment of invoices
Assists accounting department with general clerical duties, including telephone reception, mail distribution, and other routine functions
Provides general accounting assistance when necessary
Organizes department reports, invoices and paperwork and files AR paperwork weekly
Performs other tasks as assigned by Accounts Receivable Manager
No direct supervision responsibilities
Supports company Food Safety efforts through commitment and compliance to SQF standard practices and policies

Follows plant quality practices including Good Manufacturing Practices, or GMP’s
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
0-1 year of experience in Accounts Receivable or Collections.
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Willingness to work and follow verbal/written instructions

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this position, the employee’s work is performed in a typical interior/office work environment. Employee is expected to maintain an organized work area and contribute to the overall decorum of a professional setting. A minimal amount of work will require exposure to the manufacturing facility. Employee is expected to be familiar and in compliance with all plant safety and cleanliness (GMP) regulations. Work days are generally Monday through Friday; however, the employee is expected to work additional, including weekend hours as required fulfilling job duties.
