Cable Quality Inspector
to join our team in support of a premier defense manufacturing facility in
Oldsmar, FL . This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on inspection experience in
cable assemblies
and expertise in
IPC-A-620 solder and crimp standards . This is a
2nd shift position
with opportunities for overtime.
Position Details: Location:

2nd shift, Mon-Thurs 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM + OT as needed on weekends Clearance:

Must be able to read and write English Key Responsibilities:
Visually inspect
in-process and completed cable assemblies
to IPC-A-620 standards Perform quality checks using blueprints, diagrams, parts lists, and inspection instructions Use various measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, scales, dial indicators) to verify compliance Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning cable assemblies Collaborate with assemblers, test technicians, and engineers to resolve quality issues Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records Monitor quality through statistical or control procedures as required Perform light cable assembly tasks when needed to support inspection areas Required Skills and Qualifications:
Must have experience inspecting soldered and crimped cables to IPC-A-620 standards Proficient in interpreting
engineering drawings ,
diagrams ,
parts lists , and
revision-controlled documents Detail-oriented with a focus on manufacturing precision electromechanical or cable assemblies Effective verbal and written communication skills for team collaboration Proficient in using
personal computers
and basic digital tools Willing and able to assist with hands-on assembly as needed
